Mage Stats

I am lvl 40 mage and my stats without a potion and wearing my armor are:
STR 337
DEX 343
INT 550
CON 398
LUCK 388

do u think that i should concentrate more on my int, con, luck and leave my dex and str the same?:)

Hello, and can someone post how mage stats should look (example 50%of all skill points goes to intelligence, 40%to cont, and 10%to luck) ? I started play today and i have no big idea how to spend skill points :(

There is no set distribution. A mage's main stats are intelligence (damage and resistance against other mages) and constitution (health which they get so little of). Luck is important to some, but not important to others. It determines your critical hit chance which is effected by the level of your enemy as seen when you hover your cursor over your Critical Hit percentage. Strength and Dexterity are not all that important, as the only thing they do, is give you a bit of defense against Warriors and Scouts respectively.

If i increase strenght, so how defense against wariors is calculated?

Bullbound 06-19-2011 07:14 AM

Across from each stat is a calculated value. Just hover your cursor over that value and you will see how that stat is applied. As a mage, it will show you how your defense against warriors, defense against scouts, damage with your current weapon, your total hp, and your critical chance against an enemy of the same level is calculated; in that descending order.

so if i increase strenght and my defence is 100, it means that warrior does 100less damage to me?

Bullbound 06-19-2011 07:45 AM

It means you have a defense factor of 100. No one has been able to accurately calculate the damage past the first blow, since damage increases with every swing of a weapon. Combine your defense with the damage calculation and it comes out to something similar to

Total Damage = [Weapon Damage*(1+Attacker's Stat/10)-Defender's Stat/2]*Armor Factor of defender

What Bullbound said.

U can look at it like this... If ur opponent is Mage with 200 int, and ur resistance is 50, then when attacking u his int is actually 150... So attackers base stat is lowered by ur resistance to that stat;)

That said..yes, correct...dont add more to str or dex.
I am a level 210 mage on s3, and I look at this way..mages get little life and little defense..but since your spells always land..really pump up that value..you need every shot to take a huge chunk out of your opponent's life...

by no means are my stats ideal or even close..but

int 5509
con 2686
luck 1425
str and dex are 1115

i wish my luck was another 1000 points higher..ive let it slip...and my con another 500 or so..but still..i hit hard

For me, (and it got me to #5 on S2 4 months behind everbody else :P) I use the following:

Int: 100%
Con: 60-70% of Int
Luck: Around 30-40%. Stays surprisingly high once you have a good selection of int/con/luck epics.
Str/Dex 25% of Int.

Hope that helps :)
