Default does conspiring in the fortress break the rules?

So here is the scenario: An opponent in the fortresses we will call Midas has, say, 1,000,000 wood and 500,000 stone. Unfortunately for you, it would take 40 soldiers to beat him and you have only 30.

So what you do is PM one of your guildmates (player 2) who is at a similar level and offer this deal: player 2 will refresh the fortress battle window until player 2 is also facing Midas. Then you will launch your 30 soldiers against Midas, wiping out his archers and, say, all but 6 of his mages. You then PM player 2 and say "6 mages left", and Player 2 goes in for the kill, collecting the wood and stone.

The next day, you run the same deal against a different opponent except this time player 2 does the dirty work and you move in for the kill.

Would coordinating in the manner be considered a violation of the TOS? I don't see it as all that different than in the past when a player was being farmed in the arena asking his guildmates to retaliate against the opponent doing the farming.

I think this type of coordination would actually be beneficial for the game. Right now there is a level of players who have bought their way to the top in the fortresses and who are untouchable to those below them. This would allow the lower level players to keep them from continuing to climb further ahead without being concerned about the periodic raids the rest of us face.

I am assuming this is not happening at all or not very much on s1 because what u just posted happens and happens a lot. As for it happening to the top 20 players maybe not as much as you might need 3+ players to wear them down.

also there is the hey I just beat player "x" and I got y wood and z stone if anyone wants an easy win go for it.

I don't see it breaking TOS ... here's some good examples of gang mentality

I see in guild chats all the time, "So and so has 2 mages left," after someone tries to defeat someone and doesn't quite beat them all.

I don't see it as breaking the rules. It's helping out your guild mates.

Is it annoying? You bet, but it's part of the game. It's no different than someone being able to beat someone higher up in the HoF and sitting on that account and attacking every 10 minutes.

I think it's better now that there is 24 hour protection on the fortress.

Well, I've decided that even if this is a legal strategy it doesn't seem to be a very practical one. My co-conspirator identified a suitable target, and then I started refreshing the opponents...100 refreshes later, still no match. At 400k per refresh, that's starting to add up. Plus, I had to pass on multiple opportunities for 12k wood profit for 2 soldiers, 20k wood for 4 soldiers, etc. in order to conserve my troops. So I think for now I'll stick with scavenging 5 k wood per soldier by attacking people with walls only rather than looking for the big score of 150k wood for 30 soldiers.
