It seems to jump each tier is reasonable to start with, but we'll see the data on the other day I'll act accordingly for sure :p

how badly does the new stat distribution for the pets skew this now?

From what I've been able to test so far, theese are new stats.
I think that now every new set of pets is slightly stronger than with previous distribution (due to the change in increase of main attribute).
If you have more data, let me know.

still looks like we are a ways off from starting to upgrade a new pet though.

Extrapolating on your numbers, I took a look at the #3 pet at level 25. to have the number 6 pet be better than it we would need to feed pet 6 75 times, or 74 times to be equal

example:
- pet #3 at level 98 (+73) has a main stat of 1188
- pet #6 at level 73 has a main stat of 1184

- pet #3 at level 99 (+74) has a main stat of 1200
- pet #6 at level 74 has a main stat of 1200

- pet #3 at level 100 (+75) has a main stat of 1212
- pet #3 at level 100 has a main stat of 1216

Fixed my charts to new data and this is the result:

One thing might be forgotten, pet pack stat bonus - obviously more profit is from higher base stat but comparing 1st with 6th is pretty much pointless, it might get more important on 7th and higher, 7th cuz we dont have data for the formulas :/

actually the pet pack bonus should be pretty irrelevant. It is 5% per pet. so if you have 6 pets you are getting a 30% pack bonus. This 30% is added to the base stat of the monster so in the example above, my 3rd pet with a 30% pack bonus is still the exact same as the 6th pet with the bonus at levels 99 and 74 respectively

You are comparing too close ones, I dare you to compare 1st with 8th or even 10th.

I agree that the spread is too close right now between 3 (which is what most people are leveling) and 6 but it still proves my point about the pack bonus. Pack bonus will be completely irrelevant to deciding on when we switch which pet we are leveling.

The bonus is a flat percentage based on number of pets. It does not matter at what point their base stats start. The same percentage of bonus is given to each pet. a 3rd pet with 1200 base stat is the same as a theoretical 15th pet with 1200 base stat when it comes to pack bonus.

I'm just getting a starter pet in each element to level 100 as quickly as possible. Once I achieve that I'll start leveling whichever pet I own that is the highest tier.

Edit: After thinking this through further I've decided this is not the best idea. :P

Indeed, one day you will find yourself asking "Did I have to reach level 100 to realize this...?" The more you feed your week pets, the less you feed your strong pets and you are going to need the strong ones to beat the habitat bosses. I suggest you find your most suitable pet in each row (pet generation) and choose him to be your champion till you find the next one. I've already chosen mine
