MORE PICTURES!!!

Random question: do you consider yourself a "clown"? The only "balloon artists" that I've seen (and I'm talking the kind that make flowers or poodles or pirate swords or hats --nothing as elaborate as what you do) usually dress like clowns. Hence why I ask. Just curious.

Do you ever do these pieces of awesomeness live? Or does it take you way too long to put together a sculpture that it would ever be practical to be a live exhibit?

Your wish is my command my dear Cashew...

Apart from the ostrich this batch of photos are all VERY old and are no longer in my portfolio, but I thought you might like to see some other things that can be made. The bull had glowing red eyes and was for a ferria in France (like a bull fight, but the bulls don't get hurt).

I am a clown/magician and proud of it (but please think Chaplin or Mr Bean rather than Ronald McDonald). Although I do make balloons in a variety of guises and sometimes just as a slick magician type.

My main character is my uncle Phileas Flash (the guy on the ostrich), a highly eccentric English gentleman who lives in a cupboard and eats fish heads. I do play a red nosed clown as well, but he's more pathos than funny (if you ask nicely I'll put a link to a short video of his stage act about love).

I make some of the balloons at home prior to the event and some at the event, it depends on what the client wants. My best work is usually the pieces I prepare before the event (as I'm not distracted).

Hope that answers some of our questions!

Ok, here it is...

http://www.vimeo.com/10289361

this was recorded in January for a film company that convert 2D film into holographic movies. It was originally developed last year for a stage show in the Dominican Republic where I had three 5 minute slots to fill in between the song and dance numbers.

The piece is called 'The mop and me.' I hope you like it (you'll need sound)....

That was beautiful. Nice choice of music, as well. I love Durante. If you're ever performing in Saint Louis or Kansas City, let me know.
