... Whoa... Is there som kind of explanation + confirmation on this command? because I can see it being used as a Con. It was NOT announced in the News Section, and was stealth added. *I* didn't know about it until today.

If someone had come into the guild and said, 'Hey, new feature! Type "/frenzy on" and you'll increase attack power but decrease defense,' I might have gotten fooled and cost myself a LOT of mushrooms. This is a VERY DANGEROUS command!

Charista, someone came across it on another server and mentioned it here. It has since been added to the list of commands thread.

Playa Games GmbH didn't announce it to us on the US servers, so it is no surprise that many don't know about it.

Darstard, no one said that Playa Games GmbH doesn't take responsibility for their bugs, however you are putting words into the my mouth with your claim. iTZKooPA stated that every item is semi-randomly generated and that items can not be manually placed. What I stated, is that for them to track every item generated and replace them when a player makes a mistake or when there is a bug related to it, would require that every character's shop items be logged and stored. You demand a mushroom refund, but that would require verifying how many mushrooms were spent on the weapon shop and that you did not intentionally spend them. This is even harder to do, as the command was somehow sent through and that is what a log of commands would show, if there is one. I don't know if they have one or not for every character, but it wouldn't prove there was a mistake most likely.

It is unfortunate that this happened to you, but for now I think it is safe to say that if you use the frenzy command, never leave the shop screen until it is done.

This command seems to be money making one for playa games and the fact they made it and without any details on it before hand. this seems very below the belt stuff

If Playa can't provide refunds for bugs related to their development, then they shouldn't be implementing commands that risk mushroom (real money) loss. It is woefully unprofessional to burden paying customers for the faults of their own design and development staff while knowing that the provider will gain money from such mistakes.

One of my guild members lost over 100 shrooms, though did find an epic he liked.

However another guild member lost an astounding 800 shrooms (and didnt even get an epic) and while he seemed pretty cool about it..thats A LOT of money out the door...seems like the odds of that happening are pretty astronomical or insanely bad luck..
That said..since it did happen, my guild is pretty much advocating to not use the frenzy function at all!

Whoa! If I was robbed 800 shrooms I'd be on the phone with my credit card company in an instant... Playa are going in very deep waters with this money-grabbing trick...

Except, y'all have to remember that the frenzy command uses a randomized event trigger to stop. You could get it right away or 5000 mushrooms later. While it may not be the friendliest of commands, it is there for those that wish to use it and are willing to take the risk.

Charista, the problem with saying it risks real money, is that free players can use it and never risk a penny. They find their mushrooms, just like anyone else can do.

While it is random I understand, is there any sort of..% chance known of when an epic will come up in a shop? 1%? 5%? .01%? I ask because I would expect it to be about...maybe 0.5% or something. This would then be once every 200 shrooms...so to lose 800+ seems rather...crazy.

It reminds me of when I went to Las Vegas and went to roulette and bet on red and lost..8x in a row it came up black. EIGHT. Now I understand the odds of it coming up black are nearly 50% each time, depending on 1-2 green 0s...but..8x in a row..is not likely at all..just as I would imagine 800+ shrooms without 1 epic isnt likely.

Wow, what a ridiculously dangerous command. One for the mega-shroomers I'd imagine. I've done the "refresh shop until a good epic pops up" thing before but at least when I'm doing that, I'm hovering over the other items in the shop to see what they are and to see whether or not they're worth buying.

Madness, I tell ye, madness!

Oh, and Gynx, I do hope that you bet a ninth time on red and it did actually come up?

I walked away and red came up the next time.
It cured me of casino gambling for many years.
