Default Weapon compare tool.

I tried the weapon compare tool to see which of two weapons i have is better. However, i note that it does not include luck in the factoring at all, as one of my weapons has a large chunk of luck i figure that might alter the answer.

Weapon 1:
91-125(108)
+60 Intelligence

Weapon 2:
104-156(130)
+84 Luck

Now the tool says weapon 2 is slightly better, but with the luck increasing my crits it'd be greatly better wouldn't it?

Also does weapon damage type matter? Ones a water staff and the other fire.

First, the weapon comparison tool is NOT an official tool, but something created by a player. Luck is not a major factor often times, as it results in diminishing returns as the level of your enemies increases. The massive damage increase of 130 over 108 is a large factor not to be overlooked. The system does not have damage types currently and goes strictly by the weapon damage range which is better for weapon 2 both with the higher minimum damage and the higher maximum damage.

Yeah i understood about the damage range being better, but if you run the tool yourself you'd see the 60 int on my original weapon makes them almost identical. 60 intelligence being alot at my level.

Just wanted to make sure, thanks for clearing up the luck/elements part.

As a mage weapons are pure damage forget about int, luck, and con if your average damage increases you should replace your weapon.

+60 int /10 = 6
6*108 = 648

your int without weapon/10 * 108 = X

your int without weapon/10 * 130 = Y

If Y > X+648 than the luck weapon is better.

When the values are really close and you are considering luck you can use your luck as a multiplier say you are at 25% chance with luck and with the new luck item you go to 27% chance. Since a critical hit doubles damage effectively, you can multiple your lower luck weapon damage by 1.25 and compare it to your higher luck weapon damage by 1.27 the higher value is your better choice. You'll find +int as a mage is the most damaging of weapons often better than 3 stat epics.

fyi, the sf.kalais.net web site may no longer be active. The link would appear to be dead.
