Default "New Posts" forum function

I don't know if others have noticed this or not, but the "New Posts" function on the forum is not working properly. I have found it often says there are no new posts, but when I do the 24-hour search, I find multiple threads with responses since I last logged in. If any posts appear, it is only those that were made less than an hour before I log in.

I am seeing new posts with the function, including this one and many others from today. Is anyone else experiencing Bullbound's issue?

Yes I am experiencing it too. I have been for over a week. Didn't notice it was a bug.

Lady Java, it took me a while to realize it too until someone said they had posted in a thread and I never saw it. I then did the 24 hour search and saw I was missing a lot of posts. I am now having to read the new posts that do show up, log out, log in immediately, click "New Posts," then use the 24 hour search option it presents. It is amazing how many posts I would have missed if I wasn't doing this.

you don't have to log out to get the 24 hour option just use Quick Links -> Todays Posts. Pulls up the same threads.

Yes, but the log out clears the threads list for "New Posts" which prevents a problem with the 24 hour search on some systems such as Firefox according to phpbb.com which is the open source home page for these forums. The bug I'm reporting isn't showing on their site and doesn't appear to be related.

BB, Lady Java,
What browser and version are you using? Trying to recreate the issue on my side.

Firefox Mozilla, the latest one. It is easy to reproduce if you log on, do your check of the forums, log off, visit the forums without logging in or viewing a thread, and then come back later. It is only searching from the last visit by anyone, not from the account's last visit.
