Default Finding Potions on quests

I was wondering what people thought about finding potions on questions. I realize POELs sometimes cost mushrooms so if those were excluded then okay, but in general it would be nice to have a chance to find them. You can find everything else.

For people who don't like potions then just don't select that quest if its not the best. Thoughts?

A bit old, but here is what some folks think.

Apparently I can't use the search function effectively. Sorry about that

(I actually did look for a thread first)

It is a really old thread. There were a number of posts before it. I only knew about it because I started it. I still think it would be a good idea to be able to get all of the non-PoEL potions if they would show up in your shop.

Well I like the idea. I use potions every now and then and finding them as part of a quest reward wouldn't really change things for me.

Or, instead of potions...

If you have an empty potion slot open (1 of 3) then you should have a chance at a "random enchantment" drop. It would drop on your character like a mushroom. It can be turned off at will. It only lasts 12 hours (to distinguish it from potions) and, unlike a potion, you don't control exactly when it hits you. It could be more of an inconvenience because it takes up a slot that could otherwise be filled by a 'better' enchantment for a stat that you actually want, but the decision to turn it off means forfeiting a random drop.

Just a suggestion so they don't have to implement a strictly inventory thing.

I was curious, do they plan to make any more potions? The PoEL directly affects life,do they plan to do a potion for directly affecting damage or critical hit?
I like your idea BlueDude2. besides Bullbound's thread this one also had some interesting ideas for quest drops.

Potions on quests would be nice indeed.

Maybe they could have a low probability so you still just can't have the best potions all the time unless you reset the shop a lot.

Finding 1-2 random potions in a day of questing shouldnt affect the game balance and would make a quest rush before a guild war much more entertaining !!
