Default How to maximize your TFA via shrooms?

I am not sure which one is better, but currently I have the option to add 20 TFA via mushrooms when I have 0 TFA in total, or I have the option to add 20 TFA when I still have some TFA left.

Are these two options any different?
Or does one yield better quests?
I have noticed that sometimes when you are down to your last few TFA you get really nice quests but for less than the usual amount of TFA required.

I don't think either one gives you better quests. When you get down to the last couple of minutes of questing time, you get more xp for them because the game is trying to fit the quests it would have given you into the time you have left.

So maybe letting your time run out each time before buying 20 more would get you a little bit more gold/xp in the long run.

The quests you get for the last of your thirst take the reward you would have received and divide it by the amount of time left. You are still getting the same xp or gold per minute, but it is a smaller amount. This means it doesn't really matter, unless you want to get that amount per minute for longer periods of time.

Me and some guildies tested this earlier, we refer to it as "glitched XP", and it only works when you empty the last of your 300TFA.

That is, when you have had your 10 beers, and are going down to 0 TFA for the last time that day, you can get a 2.5min quest giving you the XP you would expect from a 10min quest.

This does not happen if you have not had your 10 beers. Or at least it did not happen any of the about 30 times i tried it, or for any of my guildies.

So what you should do is to always try to hit 2.5 TFA left when you finish your 300TFA. So say that you have 10TFA left, and you get a quest for 10mins, giving you 30k XP, and a quest for 7.5 mins, giving you 10k XP.

Normally you would go for the 10min quest without thinking, but in this case, you have a good chance of getting another 30k XP for the last 2.5mins giving you a total of 40k for the last 10TFA.

By using that method you can maximise your glitched XP, which maybe corresponds to 2.5-5TFA extra per day. So about 1% more XP, that is, after 3 months you will be about 1 day ahead of someone that does not use this little trick. A small effect, but more than nothing.

The method described above is definitely an edge-case bug (and an interesting one). It will be looked in to further.

Keep your eyes open anytime you're less than 10mins (with Griff) away from the last of your 300 thirst. I've seen stacked quests at the 7:30 and 5:00 min marks too. I've found that if I miss them at those points, I don't necessarily get another chance. There are days when it doesn't happen at all though. I don't like those days.

Yup - I think this is the funny thing that I was referring to,

But to answer my question,

There is no difference in using shrooms at any given time right?

Except for the last 2.5 TfA where you can get a 10 TFA exp for just 2.5.

Not that I've noticed.

Believe it or not, you guys found an Easter Egg. When I reported it to the programmer he laughed and said it "took long enough" for someone to make it public. According to him, the feature is meant as a reward to those that can set up the situation.

Enjoy the (itty bitty amount of) extra XP!
