Hello,

Can anyone explain how pe flying TV works please ?

When you're in the Tavern or while doing your quests, you have a tiny chance that a winged television pops up in the top left corner.
If that happens, you click the TV and watch the video that appears, and that rewards you with a 'shroom

The vids are sometimes broken in various ways, though, and the frequency of the TV seems to depend on the region you live in.

I wish the TV was permanently implemented, as I cant watch videos or do surveys for free shrooms in my country

You will get videos if they have any for your country as they wont give you ads for what is not sold or offer in your country.

and unfortunately the game knows your location. Claiming to be American or German doesn't help. Which does raise the question of why I have recently been getting videos with German (I think) labels.

Well since I have been getting almost double the vids on some of the servers I still play on not gonna complain they can have it any language they want if it get me shrooms. Plus I think only some of the text is German the videos themselves are in English.

Yeah, that's nice of them to select the vids for us, however it's a bit... unfair. Why should we have fewer opportunities to get a free 'shroom just because we don't market this or that in our country

Well why would a company spend money in a country it doesn't sell their product in. the German vids we are talking about are US products or services just that some of the text is in German for some reason.

Yeah, it is unfair. But I suspect not enough people buy mushrooms for Playa to stay viable as a business and develop new games and new content, and the TV is a way for Playa to generate advertising revenue and at the same time at least let some of those who don't have $25 a month to spend on mushrooms compete with those who do.

Well, the reason there are local servers is to keep everything regionalized. Theoretically, only US players are on US servers, and would thus everyone has the same access. Of course, there are multiple reasons why a player may select a server outside their actual location, but the system is currently not that dynamic.

That being said, Playa Games continues to expand the options for players to play for free but earn extra .
