Default Nintendo Gamecube

I'm in love with my new Gamecube!

Some weeks ago I bought a Nintendo Gamecube. Yes, I know I'm a few years late but still I decided to buy one now...I'm usually a PC gamer and don't want to buy a PS3 or XBOX360 but the Nintendo franchise is both fun and cute and not available as a PC port.

Of course I could have bought a Wii but the controls aren't that important and the Gamecube is cheaper. Anyway, I am only interested in Mario games.

So far I have:

Mario Sunshine
Smash Bros Melee
Smash Football (=Super Mario Strikers)
Mario Golf
Mario Party 4+5
Mario Kart Double Dash

I still need Mario Power Tennis, Soul Calibur 2 and Mario Superstar Baseball. Baseball is quite expensive though as it was not that popular here and therefore, you have to pay more because of the limited number of sold copies.

Nintendo = cuteness to the max!

Who else loves the characters? Or do you prefer Sega's franchise?

When I was younger (and the SNES and Megadrive/Genesis were released I prefered Sonic but now it's different)...

I love all of my games but Smash Bros. Melee is not that good. It's a great game with many features and a history of Nintendo characters included (trophies) but the gameplay is way too chaotic and fast for me. Speaking of fighting games I prefer Street Fighter 4. Smash Bros. could be fun but the moving and zooming camera is horrible and so is the chaotic action of four players jumping around.

I´m a huge fan of Metroid, so much that I have a Prime-era Samus Aran tattooed on the back of my left leg. And mario is cool, but not so much in 3D. And then there is Castlevania, but it is multi-platform, so doesnt count really.

But in mario-series, Goomba´s are the real stars. I love them wholeheartedly. Will probably get one in ink done soon. Check these pics out:

I don´t like Samus that much. Goombas are cute but so are most other characters. Especially this little guy:

Wiggler is awesome, yes. But I see them as animals, not enemies.

Horribly dangerous animals.

Wait, do you know this clip? I love it.

I have a crazy huge library of Gamecube games. I'll have to go through them to make sure that you get the good ones. Off the top of my head, don't miss Pikmin or Paper Mario & The Thousand Year Door! Eternal Darkness is absolutely amazing, not cute in any way, just epically awesome. Tales of Symphonia and Skies of Arcadia are probably the best RPGs on the system, but not from Nintendo.

Eternal Darkness is a must have imho. Cthulhu-mythos game with suspense far beyond much any game I´ve played.

Don't forget there's also Paper Mario!

Also, just so you know you can play gamecube games on a wii and I have to say that the new mario kart, mario brothers and mario galaxy are pretty awesome.

Plus Kirby's epic yarn looks like it will be fun too!

The new Kirby looks like a lot of fun. The style is different but interesting. I love the boss fights.

Yeah, Gamecube games can be played on a Wii but I still didn´t buy one as I would have had to buy a new TV as well....a HD one...and I cannot afford one. Some games don´t work with old TVs.
