hello all
![]() i updated yesterday to the new Firefox 6 and updated all its plugins! since then i am having visual issues with the game now! certain parts of the images ( character eyes or face, thirst for adventure yellow bar, equipment, etc..) can be missing and are not visible anymore! does anyone else confirms this? is it Firefox 6 or the game itself? maybe adobe flash-player fault? please someone reply about this cause i can´t play ![]() i am sure many more are experiencing this issue! very odd thing! ![]() thanks! |

Doing a quick look at the firefox site, it is not fully flash, java, quicktime, and many more programs fully supported. Try using the previous version and you should be fine.

I also installed the latest Firefox version and got a message that not all plugins will be compatible...and if I want to search for updated versions of these plugins...and that some plugins will not have an optimized version for the latest Firefox update.

Things should smooth out shortly. I plan on firing up FF6 for extended testing this weekend. |

well so far nothing! i asked for help on Mozilla IRC channel..
and strangely enough this website shows perfectly normal to them! but for me it does not! there is lag! installed and reinstalled flash over and over again when i update to ff6! is the first time firefox is giving me some issues! then again this site is the only one thats giving me problems with ff6! there is a massive lag here! images take's forever to fully appear... or never load! very weird! is someone else experiencing this lag issue? is it a flash problem? (tho new versions of flash have been released since ff6 came out and nothing.... ) is it this website's problem? or a firefox 6 problem? weird enough! I use FF6 and generally have no problems with the game. On the rare occasion that I do a quick page refresh seems to fix things right up.

![]() nothing works! my setting's are to clear cache and history and cookies (etc..) every time o log out ff6! i run a "fresh" firefox session every time i go online! to much lag loading images or never load at all! a page refresh might help sometimes... or does worse and something else goes missing! somethings very wrong with ff 6 or i am missing something important! either way i have no problem at all with FF 5.0.1! im using it and everything runs good! i am not not upgrading ff FOR the first time until everything is stable! |

ff7 is out in beta... and i had to do both java and flash updates... but it appears to be a very stable platform for S&F... i saw a similar glitch when i first upgraded but after i manually cleared my cache and cookies and verified the settings it stabilized pretty quick... maybe you should bypass ff6 and go straight to 7b?

i finally FOUND OUT the PROBLEM! and it may be MY fault THO not sure yet cause it only happened with ff6! after thinking a lot ![]() the problem resided within the advanced definitions of Firefox that can be accessed by typing about:config on address bar! im talking about the preference called "network.http.request.max-start-delay" and whose value was 0 (ZERO) and IT SHOULD BE 10 i dunno why ![]() but it was the issue that caused of the immense lag of images or sections of images not appearing /loading on this website! finally everything is normal! ![]() AND if anyone experiences this problem of "non loading images on this website" after updating FIREFOX check that preference name and set it to DEFAULT! -> 10 i played a bit and put the value 5 (between 0 and 10 (default)) and it runs smooth! BUT the value cannot be ZERO! this is a mystery: on why that value changed with the update... but... all is fine now! ![]() thanks all for the feedback! ![]() Last edited by Niguell026; 08-31-2011 at 02:04 PM. |
