Post Officer Email

I am not sure if someone suggested this. I tried searching but could not find anything similar so I apologize if I missed it.

I was wondering it there would be a way to add an officers button or command similar to the guild button when writing a message.

I would like to be able to send messages to all of my officers about things such as starting wars and recruiting with out having to spam every member in my guild.

Thanks,
Beat

I suggested this two years ago. I'm sure others did beforehand or since etc but I'm all for it

multiple mail recipients are possible by using "," or was it ";" to seperate their names in the "to" line.

For most guilds this is sufficient, but if all have very long names the character limit is likely a limiting factor (tested somewhere in the german forum with exact numbers -> archive of bug section)

This is true but as you said there is a limit to how many characters you can type in the "to field". This means I can only email 3-5 officers at a time depending how long they decided to make their name.

This requires me to send out three emails since I have over 12 officers(some with really long names). And since I use a Mac I am unable to cut and paste.

A general overhaul of the chat and guild management systems remains on the list of Quality of Life requests. I do not know which, if any, of such suggestions are currently being developed. That being said, each major patch tends to have some QoL updates.

If your officers will work with you, you could appoint one to send the officer message to & then have them forward the message on the others. Or possibly a daisy chain, each forwarding it to the next one.

Just a thought

Or send the mail to yourself then forward it to all your officers.

Not a bad thought though still requires 12 emails to be typed up and sent instead of one. For now perhaps I can find an officer who can cut and paste and it will be easier for them instead of me to send them all!

Wow this a good idea. never thought of this as a way to get around the fact that I can't cut and paste. Thanks!

This is a feature I've long wished for myself.

yes a better mail system would be nice.

A thought I had is have the guild roster to the right of the mail and you could either type in the name as normal or check boxes next to he names you want to send the mail to.
